Ranbir Kapoor as Amar
Aamir Khan was brilliant as Amar in the original. His comic timing, dialogue delivery, gestures surely compel you to laugh your lungs out. Looking at the character of Amar which was a bit cunning in nature, we can only imagine Ranbir as Amar because he had played a role with similar traits in the romantic comedy ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ (2009).
Varun Dhawan as Prem
After watching his performance in films like ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ and ‘Dishoom’, there’s no doubt that actor Varun Dhawan’s comic timing is bang on. And with the release of promos and songs from his film ‘Judwaa 2’, we can only imagine Varun as Prem as he carries the charm and personality to play this character perfectly.
Shraddha Kapoor as Raveena
Raveena played a convincing role and was equally funny in her scenes along with her other co-stars. Her chemistry with Aamir Khan was also beautiful in the film. Although, Shraddha hasn’t done an all out comedy film (as of now) in her career, we can imagine her to play this part perfectly as she has pulled off some light-hearted funny scenes in her previous films with ease. Be it her expressions or nuances, she perfectly suits this role of Raveena and later Karishma in the film. Coincidentally her father and veteran actor Shakti Kapoor was also a part of the original film playing the iconic character of Crime Master Gogo.
Parineeti Chopra as Karishma
The character played by actress Karisma Kapoor gave us quite a few laughs with her scenes, especially the ones with her love interest Prem (played by Salman Khan). The charm and innocence of this character and imagining her perfect onscreen chemistry with the character of Prem (taking Varun Dhawan in the remake), actress Parineeti Chopra perfectly suits this role.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Crime Master Gogo
Shakti Kapoor as Crime Master Gogo was undoubtedly the surprise package of this film. It was the veteran actor’s one of the best performances. And when it comes to Nawazuddin, there’s nothing that this talented performer can't do. He has showcased his comic timing in some of his previous films, but, certainly it hasn't been utilised to its full potential. And this iconic character of Crime Master Gogo will bring justice to it for sure.
Boman Irani as Teja and Ram Gopal Bajaj
Paresh Rawal was simply amazing in his double role act of Ram Gopal Bajaj and his villainous twin brother Teja (Shyam Gopal Bajaj). Both the respective characters were loved by the audiences for their different characteristics. And today, after never failing to impress us with his brilliant acting prowess, especially in the genre of comedy films, this is a role that only Boman Irani can play!
There are some films that are loved across all age groups. One such film is the 1994 release classic comedy ‘Andaz Apna Apna’. Rarely do we come across a film that makes you giggles throughout. ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ is a pure cinematic gem that people enjoy even today.
