Citylights

Citylights is drama film directed by Hansal Mehta starring Rajkumar Rao and Patrelekha in the lead roles. The storyline is based on a poor farmer who came to Mumbai in search of livelihood. A budget of less than Rs.7 crore was spent on making of movie but it earned more than Rs.35 crore on Box Office.

Tanu Weds Manu

This 2011 romantic drama was made with a budget of Rs 15 crore. The film revolved around an unexpected love story and was complemented with fabulous performance from R Madhavan and Kangana Ranaut. It became a success and earned Rs 56 crore at box office.

Ishaqzaade

Ishaqzaade is romantic political drama movie directed by Habib Faisal. The film stars Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra in lead role. It was made with a budget of Rs.25 crore but crossed Rs.100 crore on Box Office.

Kahaani

Kahaani is mystery thriller film directed by Sujoy Gosh. It stars Vidya Balan, a pregnant Bengali woman who is searching for her missing husband in Kolkata. This movie was made on a very low budget of Rs.8 crore and went on to earn Rs.100 crore at Box Office.

Paan Singh Tomar

Paan Singh Tomar is a biographical movie based on the true story of the athlete Paan Singh Tomar. A soldier in the Indian Army who wins a gold medal at the Indian National Games, but is forced to become a bandit. Irrfan Khan played the role of Paan Singh Tomar in the movie. The movie was made on small budget of Rs.4.5 crore but collected Rs.20 crore on Box Office.

Peepli Live

Peepli Live directed by Anusha Rizvi explores the story of farmer and their reason for suicides. Later how the media and the politicians respond to it. Movie was made at a budget of Rs.10 crore, but earned Rs.34.5 crore at Box Office. Box Office India decleared it as a super hit movie.

The Lunchbox

The Lunchbox is epistolary romantic film directed by Ritesh Batra. It stars Irrfan Khan, Nimrat Kaur and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead role. It is unique storyline based on the life of married woman, who is unsatisfied with her boring life and a man who lost his wife many years back. The film was made on the budget of Rs.10 crore but film collected Rs.20 crore on Box Office.

Vicky Donor

Vicky Donor is comedy drama film directed by Shoojit Sircar, it stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Yami Gautam and Annu Kapoor in the lead roles. The storyline is based on sperm donation. It was made on budget of Rs.5 crore only, but it performed very strongly at box office and earned Rs.65 crore and was decleared as super hit by Box office India.
