When a legacy was created!
Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol-starrer 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' still holds a special place in the heart of all Bollywood fanatics. And that is the only reason the movie ran 1009 weeks in the theatres and has been watched by audiences over and over. Further, without a doubt, the most iconic scene from the movie is perhaps the train sequence at the end, where Kajol runs to catch a moving train and Shah Rukh gallantly gives her his hand. Aww! And so we bring to you other few Bollywood flicks which recreated the iconic scene in their own way.
‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’
It is one Bollywood moment which probably most of su wanted to experience. On the verge of missing a train, and having a young and dashing man helping us out. The perfect start of a love story. The anticipation whether she will be able to make on to the train or not, was perhaps more than the anxiety we faced for our Board exams results.
‘Chennai Express’
This one was recreated by the King himself. Shah Rukh repeated the famous 'DDLJ' sequence but with a pinch of humour, this time.
‘Jab We Met’
In this film, love happened on the train itself! Geet never missed a train till she fell in love. The epic moment when Aditya (Shahid Kapoor) helps Geet (Kareena Kapoor) on to a train still makes us smile. It was in the second half of the movie, and Aditya helping Geet to board the train was a symbolic way of portraying how he was actually helping her get her life on track. Beautiful, and nostalgic.
‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’
Deepika Padukone's second time recreating the DDLJ move, but with a different star altogether. Bunny urges Naina onto the train and then the love saga begins.
Son of Sardaar
Last but not the least, are actors Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha, who added a comic twist to the iconic train scene.
