Actor Abhay Deol has started a never-ending debate on the negative effects of advertising fairness creams. It all started when Abhay mocked Bollywood celebs like Shah Rukh Khan, Vidya Balan, Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor and many others for endorsing fairness creams through commercials. He put up screenshots of their ads on his Facebook page and explained how it’s not right to advertise and obsess over fair skin. Actress Sonam Kapoor didn’t take it lightly as she posted a fairness ad featuring Abhay’s actress-cousin Esha Deol, but deleted her tweet and apologised due to incessant Twitter trolls.
