URI: The Surgical Strike
Aditya Dhar directed URI was based on the true incident of the surgical strike India pulled in Pakistan. The film connected a lot with the audience and gave Vicky Kaushal his first National Film Award as well. Not just that, URI emerged a box office blockbuster, collecting over Rs 200 crores at the box office. It’s considered as one of the best patriotic films from Indian cinema.
Mission Majnu
After honouring the men in uniform, Ronnie gave recognition to the people who stay away from the spotlight. Telling the story of an undercover spy who gave his life to protect the nation, the producer made Mission Majnu. Sidharth Malhotra delivered an impressive act in the film and it got a lot of love and appreciation.
Tejas
Last month, Ronnie released a film based on the Air Force pilots with the Kangana Ranaut starrer Tejas. Starring the actress as a pilot, the film recounted the brave story of the officers who protect us from the skies. It added another gem in the illustrious filmography of the production house.
Pippa
Ishaan Khatter, Mrunal Thakur and Priyanshu Painyuli starrer Pippa released earlier this month. Set in the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pak war, the film told the real story of Brigadier Balram Mehta. It showed how he played a huge role in the independence of East Pakistan and its formation into Bangladesh. Not just Mehta, but the film also depicted how his siblings played their part in the war.
Sam Bahadur
Vicky and Ronnie are reuniting for another masterpiece in Meghan Gulzar directed Sam Bahadur. The actor plays the role of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, a hero of the 1971 Indo-Pak War. The film’s trailer has generated huge buzz for Vicky’s dedication and transformation into Manekshaw. It is a highly anticipated release in the coming month. Sam Bahadur has a release date of December 1, 2023.
