Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham
The 2003 superhit movie 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham' was a movie which talked about relationships and had a star-studded cast comprising of actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. While, the movie had its light moments along with the emotional ones, the team felt the overall movie was a bit long and cut short some scenes from the final edit. Filmmaker Karan Johar though, found the deleted scenes equally funny and shared a special montage video of all the deleted scenes. Watch the video here:
Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri
This particular scene from 'Rockstar' between Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri was deleted from the final edit and wasn't a part of the movie. Watch the deleted scene below:
‘Dear Zindagi’
The makers of ‘Dear Zindagi’ have released a deleted scene from the film. The scene is about Shah Rukh Khan explaining Alia Bhatt about the life of Dona Maria. The scene is quite interesting, and we wish it was in the film as well.
‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’
This Karan Johar directorial movie starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Fawad Khan received a good response at the box office. Although, there were some scenes deleted from the movie, due to the ban imposed on Pakistani artistes. Here's the deleted scene starring Fawad Khan and Anushka Sharma:
‘Boom’
Katrina Kaif started her career with B-grade kind of film 'Boom'. The film had Amitabh Bachchan, Gulshan Grover and a few more stars. The film had too many steamy scenes which of course didn't see light of day, but they are available on the internet. A prominent scene from this film is that of Gulshan Grover diving into the bust of Katrina Kaif.
‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’
1995's superhit film 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' seems to be the most non-controversial film ever made in the history of Indian cinema. There was a scene where Kajol's on-screen mother makes some racist comments over her skin tone and hence, it was deleted.
‘Ladies vs Ricky Bahl’
Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh starrer 'Ladies vs Ricky Bahl' revolved around the story of vengeance and love. Reports suggest that many scenes from the film were deleted and one such scene was of three leading ladies drinking and enjoying their victory.
‘Dhoom 3’
Aamir Khan's 'Dhoom 3' had a lot of high-octane, never-seen-before kind of action sequences. But while perfecting these stunts, the makers made a big blunder while capturing it on camera. A scene wherein Aamir Khan pulls off a wheelie had to be deleted as the cable wire attached to Aamir Khan was visible.
‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’
2013's top grosser film, 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' gave a lot of rib tickling moments to the audience, but one scene which could have just made us go mad laughing was excluded from the final edit. This scene has Ranbir Kapoor flirting unknowingly with Deepika Padukone's mother standing outside her bathroom door.
‘Finding Fanny’
Deepika Padukone and Arjun Kapoor's unconventional film 'Finding Fanny' garnered mixed reviews at the box-office. The film was certainly a bit different than the Bollywood commercial films and as expected it had some censored versions too. A scene wherein Pankaj Kapoor is peeping into a room to get a clear view of Dimple Kapadia's assets, had been chopped off from the original. The clipping of this did made it to the internet though.
‘Guru’
The parallel love story which was loved by all in Mani Ratnam's film 'Guru' was that of Vidya Balan and R Madhavan. Unfortunately, a bedroom scene featuring the two showing off their sizzling chemistry did not make it to the original film.
‘Dostana’
2008 film 'Dostana' was a much loved film thanks to its hilarious plot. Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham played the character of or just pretended to be gay in the film and well, they had some cosy moments too. But, not all made it to the final cut. A scene wherein John Abraham is handcuffed and Abhishek Bachchan is lying on him, was deleted from the film for the obvious reasons.
‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha’
As the title suggest, the film 'Love Sex Aur Dhokha' had to be high on sensual and controversial content. Many scenes had to be deleted as the Censor Board had objections. One such scene showing the growing closeness between Rashmi and Adarsh did make it to the internet.
‘Band Baaja Baaraat’
Ranveer Singh became an instant favourite of all with his debut film 'Band Baaja Baaraat'. His flirtatious persona was loved by all, but probably his antics went a little overboard in a scene wherein he had to flirt with one of his clients in the film to make Anushka Sharma go fuming with jealousy. This scene was deleted from the original film.
‘Angry Indian Goddesses’
The film with many gorgeous faces, 'Angry Indian Goddesses' made it to the headlines for various reasons, one being the chopped off portions which didn't make it to the final cut. Censor Board passed the film only after making amendments to the controversial scenes, but the makers released these scenes on social networking sites.
‘Jism 2’
After her stint in 'Bigg Boss', Sunny Leone made a successful entry in Bollywood with Pooja Bhatt's 'Jism 2'. She starred with Randeep Hooda and Arunoday Singh and had some steamy scenes with both. Unfortunately, a bold scene shared by Randeep and Sunny ran in trouble with the Censor Board. This scene got deleted from the film, but it made it presence felt on the internet.
‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’
Karan Johar had deleted a four-minute scene from ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’. The director had found the scene quite funny, but people told him that he should remove it as the sequence was not funny. Well, here’s the deleted scene.
A film which makes it to the theatres is a refined copy of what a filmmaker visualises, but however badly he may want, not every bit of his visualisation makes it to the final cut. A lot of scenes, a lot of thoughts, a lot of words get chopped off when the film comes to the Censor Board. There are numerous instances wherein Censor Board made use of its power and deleted the scenes, but some way or the other, these scenes do make it to the internet.
