When RGV abused Amitabh Bachchan
It was in the year 2011, RGV had watched Amitabh's film 'Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap'. He tweeted in foul language saying, "Just watched Bbhuddah and I am angry with Bachchan that he is such a ch**iya not to do films like this and am such a l**** not to realize this.” [sic] A similar kind of reaction was seen before this film's release when after watching the trailer, RGV took to Twitter saying, "Just saw some scenes of Bbhuddah and I am fu***g super angry with the f****g angry man for not doing more films like this all these f****g years.” [sic] Further, to calm things down he finally wrote, “For the people who took offence to my language I am rephrasing my compliment…Bbhuddah is a very nice film and Amitji has acted very well.” [sic]
Ram Gopal Varma’s dig at superstar Rajinikanth
Yet again, the director wrote a series of tweets where first he called superstar Rajinikanth ugly, and then later claimed it was his way of complimenting him. He wrote, "This man by being the biggest star ever completely destroys the notion of looks being important for stardom." [sic] He further added saying, "He is a bad looker, doesn't have 6 packs ,short with a disproportionate body n knows just 2 nd half dance movements." [sic] After some more tweets, finally he wrote, "Some superdumb fans of Rajnikant dint even realise that I was only complimenting the superstar." [sic] He also wrote, "Rajinikanth is the star of not only earthly stars but also of the heavenly stars." This was his final tweet over this issue.
When RGV predicted Shah Rukh Khan losing his stardom
It was the year 2016, Shah Rukh Khan's film 'Fan' was released. The filmmaker had lashed out at the superstar saying that he might lose his stardom to Salman Khan, giving an another example of how Kamal Haasan lost it out to Rajinikanth. He had written, “Megastar SRK becoming ordinary fan, dwarf etc is as big a same blunder as what Kamal Haasan did to lose his stardom to Rajinikanth (Salman Khan). Kamal was as big a superstar as Rajinikanth till he started doing dwarf, fat, tall etc and as a fan I hope SRK doesn’t listen to wrong advisers.” [sic] He added, “I call SRK as megastar because neither (he) has muscles of Salman nor workmanship of Aamir (Khan) but yet he is taller than both by being just himself. Rajinikanth is Rajinikanth because he always himself and Kamal always trying to be someone else. I hope SRK will remain like himself like Salman. Kamal could have been a better Rajinikanth if he didn’t keep becoming someone else … so SRK should learn from Kamal’s mistakes and just be Salman”. [sic] He did not stop there! “Great actors are dime a dozen in NSD, stage etc whereas stars like SRK come blessed by God/Allah/Buddha etc, which is what SRK is not realising. Clint Eastwood superstar for 30 years being himself and then is critics Hero. I don’t believe in God but as fan I pray to Allah SRK realises truth," [sic] he further wrote.
RGV’s sly dig a Tiger Shroff on his birthday
On the happy occasion of Tiger Shroff's 27th birthday this year, RGV shared a series of tweets where the filmmaker compared the rising B-Town star to actress Urmila Matondkar. He had shared all these tweets along with a beach picture of Tiger from his film 'Baaghi'. He called him a bikini babe, told him to learn machoism from his father and veteran actor Jackie Shroff, and compared his pose in that picture to that of Urmila and also to gay people.
Ram Gopal Varma’s comments on Sunny Leone
RGV took to Twitter and posted some insane things on the occasion of Women's Day. He also commented here about actress Sunny Leone. “I wish all the women in the world give as much happiness as Sunny Leone gives.” [sic] read his tweet. Following this statement, he was trolled on Twitter for his remark. It had also landed him in legal trouble and finally he expressed his apology on Twitter itself.
