‘Woh Lamhe’ (2006)
'Woh Lamhe' was Mohit Suri's third film, and the soundtrack of the same was a combined effort of numerous talented folks like Pritam Chakraborty, Jawad Ahmed, Roop Kumar Rathod. With lyrics penned by Syed Quadri, and songs like 'Kya Mujhe Pyar Hai' and 'Chal Chale Apne Ghar', the songs touched many hearts.
‘Awarapan’ (2007)
This was another touching album with tracks like 'Tera Mera Rishta' and 'Toh Phir Aao' that are crooned even today. The music of this chartbuster album was composed by Pritam. Also, 'Awarapan' was the first album to feature all songs by Pakistani singers.
‘Murder 2’ (2011)
The music of ‘Murder 2’ yet again saw Mohit teaming up with multiple composers. They were Harshit Saxena, Mithoon and duo of brothers Sangeet Haldipur, Siddharth Haldipur. This was the first association between Mohit and composer Mithoon who further went on to create history with ‘Aashiqui 2’. Songs ‘Haal-E-Dil’, ‘Phir Mohabbat’ and ‘Aye Khuda’ are still popular among the fans for the melodious composition and soulful singing they bring along.
‘Aashiqui 2’ (2013)
This was the movie which was a launcher for the careers of almost everyone associated with it, including music composers. Mohit Suri collaborated with composers Mithoon, Ankit Tiwari and Jeet Gannguli, and the rest is history. The songs 'Tum Hi Ho' and 'Sunn Raha Hai Na Tu' broke records and have become love anthems of a generation. Wherever there is romance, there is the soundtrack of 'Aashiqui 2'.
‘Ek Villain’ (2014)
This is yet another winning album wherein Mohit teamed up with Mithoon, Ankit Tiwari and the band Soch. Shraddha Kapoor too made her singing debut with the reprise version of 'Galliyan', a track that almost ruled every single chart at the time. The soundtrack of the movie is beyond beautiful, and in sync with the story which was as much dark as it was romantic.
‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’ (2015)
'Hamari Adhuri Kahani' might not have fared well on the box office, but its music left an everlasting impact. The album comprised of beautiful melodies that was the combined effort of a team of composers like Ami Mishra, Jeet Gannguli, Mithoon and Sahir Ali Bugga. This was one of the best music albums of the year.
The trailer of Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s upcoming ‘Half Girlfriend‘ is out and we are bowled over by it. However before that, when the motion posters had been released, there was something else which captured our attention just as much as Arjun and Shraddha’s chemistry; and that was the music, something that all Mohit Suri directorials are famous for. And when the trailer was out yesterday, we were swooning to the tunes of the little song excerpts that we were treated to. Almost all Mohit Suri movies are known for the melodious soundtrack they offer, and we are sure ‘Half Girlfriend’ would be no exception.

Yes, the expectations are naturally high. But given that Mohit Suri has a talented bunch of music composers, this is a feat that is managed in almost every movie of his. His team comprises talented people like Mithoon, Tanishk Bagchi, Rishi Rich, Farhan Saeed, Ami Mishra and Rahul Mishra. Surely, the soundtrack of ‘Half Girlfriend’ is going to be a chartbuster.
