With Madhuri stepping into Sridevi’s role for Karan’s next, will we still see Sanjay Dutt in it?

Karan Johar’s next production venture which will be directed by Abhishek Varman, has been in the news for a long time. Reportedly, the film stars Sridevi, Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur. While the cast of the film is not yet officially announced, a few days ago, Karan Johar on the reality show ‘India’s Next Superstar’ had revealed that Sridevi was originally supposed to star in his production venture and they were going to start the shooting of the film in April this year.

Madhuri Dixit stepping into Sridevi’s shoes

Well, the whole nation was shocked with Sridevi's sudden demise. Everyone wondered as to what would happen to the projects that she had signed. But life has to go on, and today her elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor on Instagram revealed that Madhuri Dixit has been roped in to play the role that was originally written for her mother.

Sanjay Dutt and Sridevi had worked together in 1993 release ‘Gumrah’. Fans of both the actors were excited to see them on the big screen again after a gap of 25 years. But, that won’t happen as the actress is sadly no more with us.

Will Madhuri and Sanjay come together?

But, now the main question is whether Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri will come together in the film. Well, we feel that the actors might not come together for the movie and the main reason behind it is their much-publicised relationship.

Relationship in 90s

Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt starred together in around eight movies and were reportedly dating in 90s. But, things turned bad between the two when Sanjay was sentenced and was sent to jail. It is said that it was then Madhuri broke all the connections with him.

Not together for ‘Tamma Tamma Again’

Last year, in ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt had recreated the track ‘Tamma Tamma’ which originally featured Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit. Well, both Madhuri and Sanjay promoted the song, but separately. Had all been well between the two, they would have come together for the song, but they didn’t.

No Madhuri angle in Sanjay Dutt’s biopic

Apparently, Sanjay Dutt’s biopic which stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role had Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay’s love angle too. But, it is said that Madhuri had called Rajkumar Hirani and had requested him to remove the same. She reportedly also asked Salman Khan to talk to Sanjay Dutt about it. However, she denied the same, later on. It is said that the makers have decided not to have the Madhuri-Sanjay angle in the film.

Which actor might step in?

Feeling that Sanjay might not do the film, we wonder which actor could replace him. Maybe the makers can opt for Anil Kapoor or Sunny Deol. Time would see.
