Hina Khan's debut show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has completed 12 years today. Naturally, the gorgeous actress is elated now that she has completed 12 years in the industry. Hina made her way into people's heart with the role of Akshara. In fact, her fans still remember and love her for that role.

Over the last 12 years, Hina went on to feature in reality shows, web series and she even made her silver screen debut. The actress recently opened up on her 12 years long journey in the industry.

Speaking about her character Akshara, Hina told Times of India that her character became larger than life and she is proud of it. Although she also confessed that doing a show for such long time is difficult for actors.

Speaking about how she broke away from her Bahu image, Hina told TOI, "It wasn’t easy to break through or break that image or stereotypes that came with it, you get typecast. The longer you do, the more typecast you get. And I had done it for the longest time, so it was very difficult to break that bahu image and come out as a fashionista. But I didn't give up, you just have to work here."

After quitting YRKKH, Hina participated in Bigg Boss 11. In fact she was the first runner up of that season. She also participated in 'Khatron Ke Khiladi'.

Hina made her debut at the Cannes International Film Festival in 2019 as her film 'Lines' was screened there. The actress' Cannes appearance drew a lot of media attention.

As per TOI, the actress wants to do big shows, work with big directors and aiming for huge projects. Her only wish for this year is to do amazing projects. The 'Hacked ' actress is now looking forward to the release of her film 'Lines'. She also has a short film in her kitty.
