Director Kabir Khan and his wife, Mini Mathur, who is a VJ and anchor, live in the heart of Mumbai with their children Vivaan and Sairah and their dog, Blue Khan, a Husky. "They say har ghar kuch kehta hai," Mini says at the beginning of the video shared by Asian Paints, "If my walls could speak, they would tell you a lot of stories about shared warmth, laughter, craziness, acceptance, success and failures. Yes, my walls would speak." They take us a tour of their house and we bet you will fall in love with the Greek style architecture, warm colours and vintage charm!

The living room of the Khans has a warm and homely feel to it. The decor has a good mix of colours and Mini is pretty obsessed with colours! "I think all spaces must reflect how you are feeling at this point of time." All the edges of her house are round. She shares the inspiration behind it. "One goes to Santorini, Greece and is inspired by their architecture."

They don't follow a theme for the interiors; there is a little bit of them everywhere. There is a 85-year-old table from Hyderabad, Kabir's ancestral house. "Kabir and I like everything that looks weathered, old, even if we buy something new, it can't be shiny new," she says.

People find the Santorini seats, very charming which are on their terrace. The seats are actually to cover the pipes running all over the terrace. "This house gives me my own piece of the sky," Mini says. "The fact that we can come out and look up toward the sky is gorgeous," says Kabir.

There's something special about this boat here. "This boat is full of Blue's stuff," Kabir says. Mini adds, "I see this half boat in a studio and I am like oh my god, this is tailor-made to keep my dog's stuff."

Mini has been fascinated by how the British have their tea room. Her dining room has an informal ambience. She insisted on having an open kitchen. "I love cooking and I don't believe that it needs to be a room where you hide and slave over the stove when somebody's sitting outside and enjoying all the food. It should be an interactive activity. Again, all vintage, all rustic," she says.

The bed room opens into the terrace. "When we have a party we also open this out so it becomes a dance floor cum bedroom."

This is Mini's happy space where she sits and does all her work. "This is also a great vantage point to spy on the children," she says.

Mini wanted her children Vivaan and Sairah to share a room because that creates a lot of bonding. They couldn't agree on one decor so they split it into too. The left side is Sairah's and right is Vivaan's. "This is a room in an identity crisis!" she says.

"Colours say so much about the space you are in at the moment. Different seasons allow you different colour so this is that one room where, according to season, I don't fear to pick up a brush and paint over it," Mini describes this corner of the house.
