Alia Bhatt opts out of Shah Rukh Khan’s next?

Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan shared screen space in Gauri Shinde’s ‘Dear Zindagi’ and we were in awe of their chemistry. Soon there were reports that Aanand L Rai wants to rope in Alia Bhatt in his next film that sees Shah Rukh Khan as a dwarf. But unfortunately, Alia will not be able to take up this project as she is running on a tight schedule.

Alia was apparently in a fix wondering how to opt out of this film. We all know about the bond she shares with Shah Rukh Khan and she did not want to get into his bad books. As per a daily, Alia first approached Karan Johar to seek his opinion on this situation. He suggested that the actress should visit Shah Rukh and explain him the problem in person. Alia along with her manager Reshma Shetty then visited SRK. The actress presented her calendar to SRK and asked him to pick the dates that suited him or else she would have to drop out of the project. Shah Rukh was apparently glad to know that Alia at least made an effort to explain him her situation.

Well, if this is true, then the makers are back to square one. Their hunt for a leading lady to star opposite SRK remains on!
