Marathi film ‘Sairat‘ made to everyone’s best-films list, with people loving its story, concept and performances equally. The director of the superhit, Nagraj Manjule is now making a Hindi remake and according to sources, it will star Amitabh Bachchan.
The film is said to be produced by Karan Johar. (Also Read: 12 years of ‘Black’: Amitabh Bachchan reveals he didn’t charge money from Sanjay Leela Bhansali)
Says a source, “There has been speculation about Nagraj’s next project. While there was talk about him directing another Marathi film or the Hindi remake of ‘Sairat’, produced by Karan Johar, the director has been working on a script for none other than the Big B which he’s very excited about. It’s a social drama revolving around a patriarchal head and Manjule has narrated the script to the senior actor.”
It sure will be exciting to see Nagraj create the same magic in Bollywood. We wonder if Amitabh Bachchan gives his nod for the same.
