Arjun Kapoor to romance good friend Athiya Shetty in ‘Mubarakan’?

Bollywood actors Arjun Kapoor and Athiya Shetty will romance each other in Anees Bazmee’s upcoming film ‘Mubarakan’. The film will showcase Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor playing chacha-bhatija who belong to warring families splintered over a misunderstanding. Arjun Kapoor who will be depicting a dual role in the film will be romancing two heroines. If all goes well then Athiya Shetty will be one of them.

Yes, Athiya who had debuted in a Salman Khan Production film ‘Hero’ opposite Sooraj Pancholi, will now be seen romancing the handsome Arjun Kapoor. The rom-com will showcase Athiya as a bubbly Punjabi girl.

Sources revealed a little bit of the story that holds the promise of a laugh riot. They said, “The film kicks off in Punjab but both families are invited to a destination wedding in Europe and put up in houses facing each other. The uncle and nephew try to outdo each other by playing pranks on each other’s families, the one-upmanship wrecking havoc with the wedding prep leading to much hilarity. The film rolls in November and the team is currently finalizing locations abroad.”

If the rumours come true then it will be interesting to see the onscreen chemistry shared by the two actors who were linked with each other some time back.
