Here’s why Saif Ali Khan does not want Karan Johar to mentor his daughter’s Bollywood debut

Saif Ali Khan’s daughter from his first marriage, Sara Ali Khan, has grown up and how. She has turned into a beautiful diva and is showcasing all the traits of becoming a glamorous actress in the industry. All of us are eagerly awaiting her Bollywood debut and if reports were to be believed then Karan Johar was quite keen to mentor her foray into Bollywood. But well, daddy Saif seems to have a little problem here.

As per Pinkvilla.com, Saif is not quite keen on letting his daughter make her debut with a Karan Johar film, Why, you may ask? Because he doesn’t want Sara to be the another Alia Bhatt of Bollywood.

Now, we all are aware of KJo shaped Alia’s successful career. If not completely, KJo is partially credited for building Alia’s career. Even though, Alia made her debut with KJo’s film, she still considers him as her mentor and KJo has quite a say on the films she chooses. And this is something that Saif does not want for his daughter.

A source claimed to the said entertainment portal that “Kareena and Saif have been having some disagreements about Sara’s career. But Saif really does not want Sara to follow Alia’s footsteps. Kareena and her girl gang always talk about how Alia’s career wouldn’t be the way it is, if Karan hadn’t launched her. The industry apparently thinks that KJO is too involved in Alia’s career as he still keeps recommending her to biggie directors and mega projects. Saif does not wish for someone to have that kind of affect on Sara’s career. He thinks she should be more independent.”

“While Kareena understands Saif’s line of thought, she feels one movie with Karan would not harm to Sara.  She also promised Saif that she will make sure KJO does not get too involved in Sara’s career,” source adds further.
