It was last year that Emraan Hashmi announced embarking on a new journey as a producer with his home banner Emraan Hashmi Films. The actor had also announced that he will be collaborating with his film ‘Azhar’s director, Tony D’Souza for the same.
He had said, “I’m really excited to turn producer in collaboration with Tony D’Souza, who is an extremely talented filmmaker and a great friend.” Emraan was looking to presenting audiences with some great content, with equal entertainment value. Tony too was equally glad on the collaboration and had said, “Emraan and I are happy to join hands on this venture. While we cannot disclose much at this juncture, we are finalising the script and the casting.” (Also Read: Emraan Hashmi’s look in ‘Baadshaho’ revealed)
But there has been no further announcement of the film, which led to rumours of it being shelved.
So, when a media house got in touch with Sunny Khanna, who is supposed to invest in the film, he clarified that the film will happen soon and has not been shelved. Sunny’s said, “We have been delayed by Emraan’s unavailability. He continues to shoot for ‘Baadshaho’, which is delayed due to Ajay’s mom being unwell since the past few months. As soon as Emraan is free from ‘Baadshaho’, we will start work on his new film with Tony.”
He further cleared that the movie might go on floors in the next two to three months.
