Kareena Kapoor Khan was the first choice for Anushka Sharma’s character in Aanand L Rai’s next?

Everyone is waiting with anticipation for Aanand L Rai’s next, which will see Shah Rukh Khan playing the role of a dwarf. Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma will be seen playing the leading ladies, while Tigmanshu Dhulia will be playing SRK’s father. Rumours are also rife that after Shah Rukh’s ‘magical’ appearance in Salman Khan’s ‘Tubelight’, the latter is returning the favour and doing a cameo in this movie.

And now, there are some fresh deets on the original casting of the movie. For example, did you know that Kareena Kapoor Khan was the original choice for the role that ultimately fell into the hands of Anushka Sharma, SRK’s co-star from ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ and ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ in the past and in the upcoming ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’?

Yes, if reports in DNA are to be believed, then the makers had approached Kareena for the same.

However, Kareena, who has earlier shared screen space with Shah Rukh in ‘Ra.One’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…’, and ‘Asoka’, had to turn the offer down.

Well, the dates were clashing with those of ‘Veere Di Wedding’, for which Kareena had already committed. Also, she didn’t want to shoot immediately after her delivery as she wanted to shed all the post-pregnancy weight.
