Ranveer Singh: I Love Aamir despite his stand on ‘AIB Roast’

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh wished superstars Aamir Khan on his 50th birthday. The actor says he does not hold any grudges against the ‘PK’ star, despite Aamir Khan’s public displeasure over the comedy show “AIB Roast”. The AIB Roast that had Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Karan Johar as participants was slammed by the Perfectionist calling it “violent rather than funny”. The show, which also had actor Arjun Kapoor and film maker Karan Johar as key participants, sparked controversy for the use of expletives.

Ranveer Singh in his magnanimous way said, “Even though Aamir did not like AIB Roast, I still love him and respect him from the bottom of my heart. Aamir has been a game changer of content. He is the poster boy for blurring the lines between alternate and commercial films. His bravery blend’s these two worlds. All his choices Talaash, Lagaan, Rang De Basanti, Taare Zameen Par, they were all integrated. They mix the best of both worlds. He made commercial successes of the kind if content you couldn’t have imagined would be commercially viable.”

Ranveer Singh at present busy shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ co-starring Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra.
