Saif Ali Khan has played a number of interesting characters in his long career in the film industry. It is, however, his character in ‘Omkara’ that earned him lot of praises.
Saif, who played Langda Tyagi in Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Omkara’ (2006), became one of the most sought after characters of all time. He played a vile villain in the film and had to shave his hair, grow a moustache and change his persona as well for it. And according to reports, this interesting character of Saif’s is now to have a movie of its own. Filmmaker Vishal is now planning to work with his favourite hero Saif again in a spin-off of ‘Omkara’, which was an adaptation of Shakespeare’s popular play ‘Othello’.
The spin-off is said to be completely based on Langda Tyagi’s character and Abhishek Choubey and Robin Bhatt will be writing the script again for it. It is also reported that Saif has already said a yes to the film.
‘Omkara’Â also featured Ajay Devgn, Vivek Oberoi, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Konkona Sensharma in the lead roles.
On the work front, Saif will next be seen in ‘Chef’, which is an adaptation of the Hollywood movie of the same name.
