Shahid Kapoor agrees to star in ‘Padmavati’, but on a condition?

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ has been in news for its on and off casting issues. Well, through a lot of sources it has been confirmed that Ranveer Singh will be seen as Sultan Alauddin Khilji and Deepika Padukone will be playing the role of Rani Padmavati, but we are still waiting for an official announcement. Reportedly, Shahid Kapoor has also been roped in to play Rani Padmavati’s husband, Raja Rawal Ratan Singh in the film. According to a leading daily, Shahid agreed to do the film on one condition that his role will be made meatier and will have equal screen space to Ranveer.

Reportedly, SLB has rewritten a few scenes of the film keeping Shahid in mind and has also included long monologue befitting his histrionic strengths.

Well, now we are only waiting for an official announcement from the director about the cast of the film.

‘Padmavati’ is slated to release in December next year.
