Will Sanjay Leela Bhansali repeat the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ casting in his next historical?

‘Bajirao Mastani’ was the toast of 2015, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali is still being flooded with bouquets over his grand battle spectacle. The Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone-starrer premiered on TV just yesterday, and was a topic of discussion amongst the fans. The ‘Bajirao Mastani‘ euphoria is yet to die out, and we got to know about SLB’s next.

It is said that Bhansali’s next is another historical based on the mythical story of Rani Padmini aka Padmavati, the queen of Mewar, who was known for her ethereal beauty. Legend has it that the second ruler of Khilji dynasty, Alauddin became so obsessed with her that he decided to wage a war against Ratan Singh. It ended in a tragic way, which is why SLB was interested in painting the story on celluloid.

Though Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are not in India right now, as they are busy shooting their respective films abroad, news is that SLB has been sending feelers to his Bajirao and Mastani to get their nod for his next.
