12th Man: Mohanlal yet again collaborates with Drishyam director Jeethu Joseph for a mystery thriller; deets inside

Mohanlal and director Jeethu Joseph are yet again coming together for their next project. The director-actor duo has teamed up for yet another mystery thriller, 12th Man. Taking to his Twitter handle, Mohanlal announced the news and also released a poster of the film. “Happy to announce my upcoming movie ’12th MAN’ with #JeethuJoseph, produced by @antonypbvr under the banner @aashirvadcine,” he tweeted. The poster features a house in the dark background, and a man that is apparently Mohanlal’s character can be seen standing in the front. The movie’s title comes with the tagline “Unveiling the Shadows”.

Mohanlal and Jeethu are currently working on their third film Ram. 12th Man’s shooting will reportedly start after they complete the shoot of Ram. 12th Man is bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor under Aashirvad Cinemas banner. Jeethu Joseph also announced the news of this fourth collaboration with Mohanlal on social media. He wrote, “Happy to announce my next malayalam movie with Lalettan. Need all your blessings and support”.

For the unversed, Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph’s first collaboration Drishyam in 2013 was a blockbuster. Then, in 2021, they collaborated yet again for Drishyam 2 and it too got an overwhelming response from critics and audiences alike.

Apart from Ram and 12th Man, Mohanlal has collaborated with Prithviraj Sukumaran for the film, Bro Daddy. Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, it is a family drama written by Sreejith and Bibin and directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. Also, Mohanlal will be seen in Marakkar: Arabhikadalinte Simham that will release on August 12 on the occasion of Onam.
