Noted producer and publicist BA Raju breathed his last on May 21. Raju died after suffering a massive cardiac arrest. He was 57. The producer’s sudden demise sent a shockwave amidst the entire Telugu film industry. Celebs took to their social media handles to pay him tribute and offer condolences to his family.
Sharing the news of BA Raju’s demise his son Shiva Kumar tweeted, “With extreme sorrow & grief we would like to announce the untimely demise of our beloved father Shri B.A.Raju. He passed away due to sudden fluctuations of diabetes & cardiac arrest. May his Soul Rest In Peace. Dad Be A “Raju” Forever because You are a “SUPERHIT” in Our Hearts (sic).”

Expressing his grief over Raju’s untimely demise, Prabhas took to his Facebook page and wrote, “Shocked by the sudden demise of senior journalist and PRO BA Raju garu, who was nothing short of a family member to me. I worked with him on many films throughout my career and will forever cherish the experience. This is a huge loss to TFI. My prayers are with the family. Rest in peace Raju garu (sic).”
Mahesh Babu posted a picture of the late producer on his Instagram handle and wrote, “Not able to process the sudden demise of BA Raju garu. I’ve known him since my childhood. We travelled together for many years and I worked with him very closely. A thorough professional and a gentleman at heart who was immensely passionate about cinema. Our family meant the world to him. A monumental loss for our family and the media fraternity. May your soul rest in peace! Raju garu, you will be terribly missed. Sending love and strength to his son in these tough times.(sic)”

Baahubali director SS Rajamouli also mourned BA Raju’s demise. He wrote, “Truly shocked by the sudden demise of BA Raju garu. Losing a senior member like him, who has such a vast experience of working as a Film Journalist & PRO for over 1500 movies, is a void that cannot be filled. You’ll be missed. Rest in peace.”

Starting his career as a film journalist, BA Raju went on to make his debut as a producer in 2002 with Premalo Pavani Kalyan. Later he produced some other noted films like Premikulu, Chantigaduand to name a few.
