Chiranjeevi and wife Surekha dine with ‘old friend’ Kapil Dev; see VIRAL pics

Megastar Chiranjeevi on Sunday met his old friend Kapil Dev, the former Indian captain. Chiranjeevi’s wife Surekha was also with them as the trio dined together. The Acharya actor shared a few pictures on social media from the memorable evening as he dined with Kapil Dev in Hyderabad’s Falakunama Palace.

Chiranjeevi took to Twitter to post the pics and wrote, “Wonderful meeting my old friend @therealkapildev after a long time. The exquisite #FalaknumaPalace setting made it even more special. Travelled back in time at multiple levels & Fondly recalled old memories. He is very much the #HaryanaHurricane who won us our #FirstWorldCup.” Kapil Dev is fondly called ‘Haryana Hurricane’. He was the captain of the world cup winning team of 1983. Filmmaker Kabir Khan has made a film on him titled ’83. The film stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. Ranveer is playing Kapil Dev while Deepika plays Kapil’s wife Romi Bhatia.

On the work front, Chiranjeevi will be seen in Acharya that is directed by Koratala Siva. The movie also stars his son Ram Charan, Kajal Aggarwal and Pooja Hegde. Chiranjeevi will also be seen in Telugu film Godfather that is the remake of Malayalam film Lucifer. Reportedly, Salman Khan will also be seen in a cameo. Chiranjeevi also has Bhola Shankar that has Keerthy Suresh as his sister He also has an untitled Telugu project with director Bobby.

Recently, a family pic of Chiranjeevi on the occasion of his birthday went viral. Chiranjeevi is also the uncle of actors Allu Arjun, Allu Sirish, Varun Tej, Niharika, and Sai Dharam Tej. The actor also has two daughters – Sushmita and Sreeja
