Chiyaan Vikram makes his Twitter debut with a video post, ahead of Ponniyin Selvan 1 release

Finally, actor Chiyaan Vikram is now on Twitter and he has made his debut! He made his debut with a video post. The actor made a video post on his official handle @chiyaan and said that his aim is to stay connected with his fans. Vikram’s Twitter debut comes just days ahead of the release of Ponnyin Selvan Part 1. The Mani Ratnam directorial Ponniyin Selvan Part 1 features Vikram in a key role and is scheduled to release on September 30.

Taking to Twitter, Chiyaan Vikram shared his debut video and immediately managed to gain a following of 85.3k. In the video, the actor said, “It’s me Chiyaan Vikram. It’s really me. Don’t be confused. I am not in disguise. This is my look for my next film with Pa.Ranjith. I was told that Twitter allows me to stay contented with my fans and keep them informed about my films. But, I am late by almost 15 years. But, I feel it’s the right time.”

Vikram mentioned how everyone has told him that there is immense love for him on social media. The actor further stated that he joined social media to enjoy the love of fans himself. He said, “I have heard people telling me that there is so much love for me on social media, and I wanted to enjoy a bit of it myself. I am on Twitter right now.”

Meanwhile, Vikram, who is now on Twitter has been a part of social media earlier. He has been an avid Instagram user for years now and often shares videos and photos. The actor enjoys a following of 1.3 million and follows only his son, Dhruv Vikram. He goes by the official handle name @the_real_chiyaan on Instagram.

Vikram recently made headlines when he was hospitalized. There were speculations he suffered a heart attack, ahead of the Ponniyin Selvan 1 trailer launch. However, his son Dhruv Vikram rubbished the reports about his father suffering a cardiac arrest.

On the work front, Vikram has two big releases in the line-up this year. He has Cobra, all set to release on August 31, and Mani Ratnam film Ponniyin Selvan Part 1 releasing in September.
