Title of Dhanush’s next with Venky Atluri was announced on Thursday (December 23). It is a bilingual film that is titled Sir in Telugu and Vaathi in Tamil. It is Dhanush’s first Telugu film. It is said to be the story of a lecturer who will fight against the privatisation of education. Venky had earlier directed films like Tholi Prema, Mr Majnu and Rang De were all love stories. This film will be his first film from a different genre. The National award-winning actor unveiled the title motion poster of Vaathi aka Sir. Sithara Entertainments is producing the movie along with Sai Soujanya of Fortune Four Cinemas. Sir stars Samyuktha Menon, Tanikella Bharani, Sai Kumar among others. The shoot for the film will start in January 2022.

Apart from this, the Asuran actor also has yet another Telugu movie with director Sekhar Kammula. Earlier, while talking to Hyderabad Times during the release of Love Story, Kammula said, “What I can confirm is that it’s a bi-lingual political thriller. The film will take time to materialise and we might finalise things in January or February.”
Dhanush is currently busy promoting his Hindi movie Atrangi Re that also stars Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan. Directed by Aanand L Rai, the movie will premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar on December 24.
He was last seen in Netflix’s Jagame Thanthiram directed by Karthik Subbaraj. The actor will be seen in films like Maaran, Thiruchitrambalam, Naane Varuven and The Gray Man.
