EXCLUSIVE: DSP reveals unknown secrets of good friend Prabhas, says, ‘He is a real darling’

Singer-songwriter Devi Sri Prasad aka DSP recently dropped the super successful music album for Allu Arjun’s Pushpa. We sat down for a candid chat with DSP and asked the music maestro what he would steal from his superstar friends Allu Arjun, Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Nagarjuna, Chiranjeevi, Prabhas and others. DSP shares a special bond with Prabhas and he shared lovely anecdotes from his time with the star and heaped praises for the Saaho actor.

DSP told Bollywood Bubble he would steal Prabhas’ height, he said, “I used to say ‘Please give me three inches or 4 inches from your height. He said take it, take it, I dont want it.” DSP recalled an incident about Prabhas and revealed how the actor was all over for him from their early days,“Prabhas is one of the most lovable. He is the real darling. that is why he is called darling. If anybody knows him personally, you will not leave him for life. He is the most natural sweetest person that you can ever come across. I used to compose during Varsham, we were all like in our growing upstage that time. So Varsham was Prabhas’ one the biggest breaks also. So all of us were bachas and I used to compose in Hyderabad, we were in a nice guest house.”

DSP further talked about the word Darling the Prabhas is known for, “Darling started from him only- the word darling. He used to ask me, ‘Did uncle leave?’ I said, ‘Yes darling just now left.’ So as soon as his car exits, this car will come. Prabhas used to be with the producer of Saaho and his best friend, Vamsi, Vamshi Paidipally- the director of Mahesh Babu’s Maharshi and Prabhas Sreenu. They used to all come to my room. So then I used to play them the tune. So we played the tune and we all used to dance away to glory in my room.”

DSP recalled that Prabhas would talk to him about his dancing skills and joked about how he missed the beat, “Prabhas is used to seeing me dance in my shows, he used to say, ‘Darling you dance so well, but for my height, if I have to lift my leg from here. by that time the count is over darling’. Even now when Prabhas and I talk, we talk about all this. Even now he calls us to his place. If we go, you will be shocked by the kind of food that he will arrange. You will not be able to see that kind of food in your entire lifetime. You will never be able to finish all that also.”
