The megastar of Malayalam cinema, Mammootty is celebrating his 70th birthday today. On this occasion, his fans and celebs from across the nation are taking to social media to send their warm wishes. Speaking of Mammootty who is also known as Mammukka, ha around 50 years in the industry last month. He has featured in more than 400 films in Malayalam and other South Indian languages besides in English and Hindi. The living legend made his acting debut in the year 1971 with Anubhavangal Paalichakal and then there was no looking back for him.

The actor has won not one or two but three National Film Awards for Best Actor, seven Kerala State Film Awards and 13 Filmfare Awards South. In 1998, the Government of India awarded him the Padma Shri for his contributions to art. On the work front, Mammootty, who was last seen in Priest, recently wrapped his upcoming movie, Bheeshma Parvam. He will also feature in Puzhu with Parvathy and Pathaam Valavu, CBI 5 and Bilal among others.
