Jr NTR gets a roaring response as he meets fans in Japan ahead of RRR screening

If there has been an Indian film in the recent times that has shaken the whole world, it has to be SS Rajamouli’s RRR featuring Ram Charan and Jr NTR. The film was one of the most-awaited films ever since its inception, and after several delays due to the pandemic, when it released theatrically this year in March, it rocked the box office. Even internationally people took note of it, but once it came on the OTT platform, it’s popularity just skyrocketed with even global celebrities lauding its scale and visual appeal. It has been 8 months since its original release, yet the film continues to be trending and in news, with it opening in Japan today.

Currently, Jr NTR is in Japan for the film’s screening and as he came out of his hotel room there, he was welcomed with a roaring response by his fans. People were so happy seeing him amidst them that many of them got so emotional that they couldn’t even hold back their tears. Even the superstar respected their emotions and met with them warmly, signing autographs and taking pictures. A video of it all recently became viral on social media and it is just all things beautiful.

RRR has indeed turned out to become a global phenomenon. The buzz around it is so strong that people really considered it to be the strongest bet for India at the Oscars 2023. However, the jury opted The Last Film Show as India’s official entry at the Academy Awards over RRR. But it didn’t prove to be the end of the Oscar journey for RRR as the film has now been submitted in the general categories including Best Picture, Actor, Director, Original Song amongst others.
