Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar passes away due to cardiac arrest; Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan Sonu Sood and other celebs offer condolences

Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar took his last breath due to cardiac arrest on October 29. He was hospitalised after suffering chest pain at 11.30 am. A few hours back,Dr Ranganath Nayak, Vikram Hospital, Bengaluru said, “Trying our best to treat him. His condition is serious. Can’t say anything as of now. Brought to hospital in bad condition, treatment on in ICU”, as reported by ANI. The news of his demise has taken saddened the industry and his fans. He was 46. Condolences are pouring in on social media for the powerstar. He was fondly called Appu by his fans. A video has gone viral where we see crowd gathering on Bengaluru streets after learning the news of the death Kannada film star.

Sonu Sood, Boney Kapoor, Ajay Devgan, Suniel Shetty, Abhishek Bachchan and others offered their heartfelt condolences to the actor. According to reports, high alert declared in Karnataka. Police battalions have been deployed. Government has ordered to close theatres immediately.

Puneeth Rajkumar was the son of legendary actors Rajkumar and Parvathamma. He started his career as a child artist and acted in over 29 Kannada films. He also won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for his performance in Bettada Hoovu in 1985.
