Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph’s thriller 12th Man goes on floors; check pics

After collaborating in three movies, Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph have joined hands for another thriller. The makers recently took to the Twitter account to share about the movie. The name of the upcoming film is 12th Man and they have started off the shoot with a mahurat puja today on the occasion of Malayalam new year Chingam. For the unversed, Chingam 1 is considered an auspicious day for Keralites. And the team decided to start the shoot today on a pious day.

The pictures from the puja ceremony are now doing rounds on the internet. Producer Antony Perumbavoor, director Jeethu Joseph, actors Priyankar Nair, Unni Mukundan and Rahul Madhav were part of the ceremony.

The duo, who gave us the fantastic Drishyam franchise, has amped up the interest of the cinephiles with the announcement. The film is touted to be a mystery thriller and the film’s tagline reads, “Unveiling the shadows.” Aside from Mohanlal, the movie will feature Unni Mukundan, Anusree, Aditi Ravi, Leona Lishoy, Veena Nandakumar, Shine Tom Chacko, Saiju Kurup, Santhi Priya, Priyanka Nair, and Sshivada in pivotal roles.

As per TimesofIndia.com’s report, the film is a 24-hour story with a lot of suspense and drama. The film has a total of six male and six female characters and does not have the usual hero–heroine concept. Antony Perumbavoor of Aashirvad Cinemas is bankrolling the project. Satheesh Kurup, who is best known for Pranayam, Tiyaan, Aadhi and Drishyam franchise, is roped in as the cinematographer.

Mohanlal also has Bro Daddy and Marakkar: Arabhikadalinte Simham in his kitty.
