South movies releasing in theatres in October 2021: Most Eligible Bachelor to Republic; Check out the list

With the second wave of covid-19 flattening, theatres are back to business. With the opening of silver screens, several filmmakers across India have been announcing the release dates of their movies. The same is the case in down South. Even though the theatres are running with 50% occupancy in many states, movies are still earning well.

For instance, Seetimaar and Love Story received humongous openings post coronavirus pandemic. However, some movie makers are still opting for OTT releases. Coming to theatre releases, a lot of south movies are all set to hit the marquee in October 2021 and many are even clashing.

Republic
Release date: October 1
Sai Dharam Tej starrer Republic is about democracy in India. The movie has been in the news because of two reasons. Firstly, Sai Dharam met with an accident is currently recuperating. Secondly, his uncle and actor Pawan Kalyan’s fiery speech at the pre-release ceremony has been keeping the movie in news.

Rudra Thandavam
Release date: October 1
Tamil movie Rudra Thandavam is directed by Mohan G of Draupathi and Pazhaya Vannarapettai-fame. The movie features Richard Rishi, Gautham Menon, and Darsha Gupta in key roles.

Doctor
Release date: October 9
The Sivakarthikeyan starrer Doctor is one of the highly-anticipated movies of the year. Priyanka Arul Mohan stars in this Tamil movie. The crime thriller revolves around the organ mafia. The film is produced under Siva’s banner Sivakarthikeyan Productions, whereas KJR Studios served as the co-producer and distributor.

Maha Samudram
Release date: October 14
Maha Samudram which is a love and action drama is one of the most-awaited movies of the year. The movie stars Sharwanand, Siddharth, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Anu Emmanuel and is directed by Ajay Bhupathi. It is produced by Ramabrahmam Sunkara under AK Entertainments.

Kotigobba 3
Release date: October 14
Kotigobba 3 is a franchise of a popular Kannada film and it stars none other than Kiccha Sudeep in the lead role. Madonna Sebastian is the female lead. This Kannada action thriller film is directed by Shiva Karthik. The film also stars Sudeep, Madonna Sebastian, Shraddha Das, Aftab Shivdasani, and P. Ravi Shankar among others.

Salaga
Release date: October 14
Salaga is a Kannada film which is directed by Duniya Vijay in his directorial debut and produced by KP Srikanth. The film features Dhananjay, Nagabhushana, BV Bhaskar, Achyuth Kumar, and Rangayana Raghu in prominent roles.

Most Eligible Bachelor
Release date: October 15
The much-awaited Telugu film starring Akhil Akkineni and Pooja Hegde will hit the screens soon after a long postponement. The romantic comedy is written and directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar. And is produced by Bunny Vasu and Vasu Varma under the banner of GA2 Pictures.

Varudu Kaavalenu
Release date: October 15
The Naga Shaurya and Ritu Varma starrer is all about romance, comedy and family emotions. The romantic comedy is directed by debutant Lakshmi Sowjanya and produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under the banner of Sithara Entertainments.
