Ponniyin Selvan 2: Makers of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram starrer to drop an exciting update about the much-awaited sequel

Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1 released on September 30 this year in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. The Mani Ratnam directorial was one of the highest-grossing films from the Tamil film industry in 2022. Ponniyin Selvan 2 will release in 2023 and cinephiles are eagerly waiting for the release of the sequel as the first part ended on a cliffhanger. Today, on December 28, the makers of Ponniyin Selvan announced an exciting update about the movie. Read on to know.

The major update will be shared today, at 4 pm. Lyca Productions took to social media to share a promo where they shared that an update regarding the sequel will be announced today.

Sharing the promo, the official Twitter handle of Lyca Productions, wrote, “Open the gates as we proudly march towards #PS2. Dropping an exciting announcement today at 4 PM! (sic).”

Ponniyin Selvan is a historical drama that is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s 1955 novel Ponniyin Selvan. It is produced under the banners, Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions. Music is given by AR Rahman.

The film features Karthi, Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha and Jayam Ravi in lead roles. Prakash Raj, Vikram Prabhu, Sobhita Dhulipala, Aishwarya Lekshmi and several others are seen in supporting roles.

As per reports, PS-2 will hit the screens in multiple languages on April 28. An official confirmation is not made yet. Today’s announcement might be on the release date.
