Rocking Star Yash to take KGF Chapter 3 on floors in 2025- Report

The South film industries in India have been doling out some amazing content ever since their inception, but in the recent years, their reach have increased nationwide exponentially, and it is no longer restricted to their respective regions. Some films have had a huge contribution in bringing about that change and Rocking Star Yash starrer KGF franchise is one of those movies that have brought widespread recognition to the Kannada cinema worldwide, and as the actor celebrates his birthday on Sunday, new updates are coming in on KGF Chapter 3.

According to latest reports, there is some time before the third part of the KGF franchise starts shooting as Rocking Star Yash will take KGF Chapter 3 on floors sometime in 2025. Reportedly, this is so because director Prashanth Neel is currently busy with Prabhas starrer Salaar till September this year, thus he will take some time to get done with it and then shift his focus on the work of KGF 3. The reports also suggest that the team may even look at replacing the leading man after the fifth instalment.

KGF franchise is set in the late 1970s and early 1980s and follows Raja Krishnappa Bairya aka Rocky, a Mumbai-based high ranking mercenary born in poverty, as he rises to power in Kolar Gold Fields and becomes one of the biggest gangster and business of the time. While the franchise was supposed to be made in two parts, the makers surprised fans with a post-credit scene in KGF Chapter 2 that hinted at a third instalment. Both the films in the KGF franchise proved to be worldwide blockbusters with the second film crossing over Rs 1200 crore lifetime collection at the global box office.

As for Yash, just a few days ago, the actor had posted a note for his fans on social media, thanking them for their love and support and requesting them to give him some time to announce his next project. He had written, “I am working towards clinching something that I believe in and am passionate about. You are the ones who empower me to think bigger and better. When I meet you next, I want to share that news and all the details with you. To be able to do that, I need some more time, which seems unlikely by 8th of Jan, So, this year, I ask you all for a special gift – the gift of your patience and understanding. (sic)”.

Producers of KGF franchise, Hombale films, wished Yash today with a loving note, hinting that something big might be coming soon from the actor. They wrote, “#KGFChapter2 was a Gargantuan one, waiting for another Monster soon. To the man who shaped up the dream and took it beyond. Wishing you a very happy rocking birthday our Rocking Star @TheNameIsYash. Have a rocking one and a phenomenal year ahead! (sic)”.
