Sakshi Media Group’s Excellence Awards’ 6th and 7th editions were held in Hyderabad and several stars attended the same. Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun were awarded the best actor awards for Maharshi (2019) and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo (2020) respectively.
Speaking of other winners, Allu’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo won big at awards. They bagged not one or two but 5 trophies. Pooja Hegde took home the best actress award while Trivikram Srinivas won the award for Best Director, while Radha Krishna bagged the prize for Best Film. Thaman was awarded as the best music director. On the other hand, Mahesh’s Maharshi also bagged the Best Director and Best Film awards (2019) which were received by director Vamshi Paidipally and producer Dil Raju respectively.
Allu Arjun posted a picture on his Instagram to commemorate the achievement. He captioned the same as, “Ala Sakshi Awards lo”. Sharing some pictures with the award, Pooja Hegde wrote, “When you woke up at 4 am to do your job but there was an award at the end of it… #goodnightnow #sakshiawards #allswellthatendswell.”

Speaking of the actors, Allu Arjun and Mahesh Babu are very busy shooting for their upcoming films Pushpa and Sarkaru Vaari Paata. The movies are releasing in December 2021 and January 2022 respectively. Allu Arjun is sharing the screen space with Rahsmika Mandanna in action-drama Pushpa: The Rise. And it is being helmed by Sukumar of Rangasthalam fame. On the other hand, Sarkaru Vaari Paata is an action-comedy that is written and directed by Parasuram. Keerthy Suresh is the female lead.
