“A divorce is an extremely painful process”, says Samantha; thanks fans for defending her against false rumours of ‘affairs, abortions’

Actor Samantha Akkineni who announced her separation from Naga Chaitanya on October 2 recently took to her Instagram stories and penned a note saying that divorce is “an extremely painful process”. However, amidst her pain, she feels overwhelmed that her fans supported her and emotionally invested in a personal crisis. She is also thankful to them as they defended her against false rumours that have been cooked in the media including her affairs, never wanted to have children, her abortions. However, Samantha Ruth Prabhu also mentioned that these all have attacked her personally that has been relentless for her.

Furthermore, the Makkhi actor also makes a promise to her fans saying that she will not allow anything to break her henceforth. Taking it to her Instagram stories, her note read, “Your emotional investment into a personal crisis has overwhelmed me. Thank you all for showing deep empathy, concern and for defending me against false rumours and stories that are being spread. They say I had affairs, never wanted children, that I am an opportunist and now that I have had abortions. A divorce in itself is an extremely painful process. Let alone allowing me the time to heal. This attack on me personally, has been relentless. But I promise you this, I will never allow this or anything else ​they ​say, break me.”

Earlier, sharing a note on her divorce with Naga Chaitanya, Samantha wrote, “To all our well wishers. After much deliberation and thought Chay and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us. We request our fans, well wishers and the media to support us during this difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on Thanking you for your support.”

Samatha and Chaitanya tied the knot in two different ceremonies in October 2017.
