Samantha changes name on social media and shares THIS as her first post after split with Naga Chaitanya

Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been hitting headlines as she and her husband of four years, Naga Chaitanya, announced on social media that they are separating. After parting ways, she changed her name on her social media accounts to  ‘Samantha’. It was her decision to remove ‘Akkineni’ from her social media accounts that first started the rumours of their divorce. She had changed her name to S and now it’s Samantha.

Recently, Samantha took to her Instagram stories to share her first post on social media after the split. She shared a photo from her window seat of her flight and added the song Change My Clothes by Dream & Alec Benjamin. The lyrics to the song, which appeared on the post, read, “If I wanna change the world, I should change myself. I should make my bed. I should dust the shelf, shouldn’t lie in the bed ’til the afternoon, dreamin’ ’bout the things that I wanna do, mmm, mmm.”

For the unversed, after weeks of speculation over their divorce, they finally announced that they are parting ways. A note shared by them read, “To all our well wishers. After much deliberation and thought Chay and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us. We request our fans, well wishers and the media to support us during this difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on. Thanking you for your support.”

Samantha and Chaitanya got married in a lavish wedding ceremony in 2017. In a recent Instagram AMA session, Samantha was asked whether she is relocated to Mumbai from Hyderabad. To which she said,”
“I don’t know where this rumour started but just like a hundred other rumours, not true. Hyderabad is my home, will always be my home. Hyderabad is giving me everything and I will continue to live here very happily.”
