Sanjay Dutt to share screen space with Prabhas in Maruthi’s next? Report

Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt won appreciation for his role in Kannada superstar Yash starrer KGF Chapter 2. The actor played the role of antagonist Adheera in the film. Yash and Sanjay Dutt’s faceoff was much loved by fans. Looks like the Munnabhai star has garnered a huge fan following down South. Reportedly he has been next approached for a Maruthi directorial featuring Baahubali star Prabhas.

As reported by sources to Pinkvilla, “Sanjay Dutt has been locked in to play a very important role in a Prabhas film, directed by Maruthi. “It is not a negative but a very important role.”

As per Pinkvilla reports Prabhas has already wrapped the first week-long schedule of the film. The shoot apparently took place on the same sets as Chiranjeevi starrer Acharya. Earlier the director had affirmed that the shoot will take place only in India nothing abroad.

On the work front, Sanjay Dutt will be playing a villain in Thalapathy Vijay’s yet-to-be-titled film. The movie is tentatively called Thalapathy67. The upcoming film is being directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.

Whereas Prabhas has Prashanth Neel’s Salaar co-starring Shruti Haasan. He will also be seen in Nag Ashwin’s Project K with Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani in pivotal roles. Prabhas also has Om Raut’s Adipurush with Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon. The movie is reportedly set to release in 2023. The Saaho star also has Siddharth Anand’s upcoming action-thriller backed by Mythri Movie Makers.
