Simbu’s Maanaadu: Director Venkat Prabhu has a hilarious response to netizens’ comparison of the teaser with Tenet

The teaser of Silambarasan TR aka Simbu’s upcoming film, Maanaadu was dropped on the actor’s 38th birthday. AR Rahman released the Tamil version of the teaser, Kichcha Sudeep and Prithviraj Sukumaran launched the Kannada and Malayalam versions, Mass Maharaja and Ravi Teja launched the Telugu version while Anurag Kashyap launched the Hindi version. The teaser is loved by Simbu’s fans. In the teaser, we see Simbu seen dealing with the concept of time and he might have the power to control it. After the release of the teaser of Maanaadu, netizens started comparing it to Christopher Nolan’s Tenet as they found it resembling to the latter.

Director Venkat Prabhu took to his Twitter handle to reply back with a hilarious tweet. He wrote, “I am very honored that people are comparing our #maanaaduteaser with #tenet but unfortunately this ain’t connected with it! To be honest even I didn’t understand #tenet wait for our trailer! Then u might compare us with some other film!! ;)) #aVPpolitics”. This is indeed a witty reply, isn’t it?

Maanaadu is slated to hit the screens this year. It also stars SJ Suryah, Manoj Bharathiraja, SA Chandrasekhar, Daniel Pope, Premgi Amaran and Karunakaran among others.
