Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Tuesday requested the public and private organizations to donate generously to the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund (CMPRF) to support the government in fighting the Covid -19 pandemic. In a statement, Stalin said the state is in dire need of financial support at this time of crisis, and the government is making every effort to overcome the challenges. He also said that money that will come from donations will be spent for increasing oxygen beds at hospitals, medicines, and life-saving gas and also for the infrastructure of hospitals, purchasing vaccines, and other medical expenses.
Tamil actors like Suriya, Karthi, and their father Sivakumar have come forward to extend their help to the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund. They have donated a sum of Rs. 1 crore to the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund in the state’s battle against Covid 19.
