The country is now facing the third wave of COVID-19. many states are observing curfews and lockdowns to curb its spread. Amid this, a number of production houses have postponed the release of their films. SS Rajamouli’s RRR and Prabhas starrer Radhe Shyam have already postponed their release dates. Now Kichcha Sudeep starrer Vikrant Rona has also been postponed.
Earlier, the film was scheduled to hit the theatres on February 24. But now taking into account the public health situation, the makers have decided to wait till it shows signs of improvement.
The makers of Vikrant Rona shared the news of its postponement on Instagram. They wrote, “Despite our willingness to meet you all at the cinemas on February 24, the present Covid scenario and the prevailing restrictions are not favourable for a grand release across the globe.”
They added, “We understand the wait can be excruciating, but we promise that the cinematic experience will be worthy of your patience. We will soon announce the new date when the world will meet its new hero.”
