Yash REACTS to KGF 2 and Vijay’s Beast clash at the box-office: This is cinema, not an election

The explosive trailer of KGF: Chapter 2 was dropped on March 27 by the makers and it has spread like the wildfire. Audience have gone gaga over the high-octane action scenes, cinematography, Yash’s entry, dialogues, Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon’s presence. It has altogether raised the expectations to another level. KGF 2 is releasing on April 14 and it will be clashing with Thalapathy Vijay’s Beast, that is all set to hit the theatres on April 13.

There have been a debate going on KGF 2 and Beast are threat to each other at the box-office. As per a report in Indian Express, on the clash, Yash told at the press conference of the event, “It is KGF and Beast. It is not KGF vs Beast. This is not an election. In an election, everyone has just one vote and we had to fight over winning those votes. If one wins, the other should lose. This is cinema. And people can watch both my film and his film. And Vijay sir is a huge star, we should respect him”.

He added, “KGF is a pan-India film and we had announced the release date about eight months ago. Then we didn’t know which film was going to come out when. And for him (Vijay) it is also a festival. Thinking of it as KGF vs Beast is not the right thing. He has entertained us for so many years. The moment I start thinking that I’m bigger than my seniors, that’s when my downfall will start. All his fans will celebrate his movies. And I’m also sure that all Vijay sir fans will also love our film. I will also watch that film (Beast). Let’s all celebrate it together.”

KGF: Chapter 1 has broken all Indian cinema records and expectations. With the addition of Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon to its illustrious cast, Chapter 2 is sure to surpass earlier records scored by KGF 1. It is releasing in Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam. Written and directed by Prashanth Neel, it is produced by Vijay Kiragandur, under the Hombale Films banner.
