Adele, Drake and Lana Del Rey to perform at the lavish Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant wedding? Here’s what we know

The highly anticipated wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant is less than 10 days away, and the excitement is reaching a fever pitch. Following the star-studded pre-wedding bashes earlier this year, featured performances by Rihanna, Diljit Dosanjh, and Katy Perry. Backstreet Boys also marked their presence and performed for Ambani’s guest.

Now, India Today report suggests that Adele, Drake, and Lana Del Rey are in discussions to perform at the upcoming wedding festivities in Mumbai.

According to India Today sources, these renowned artists may arrive in India to entertain guests during the lavish celebrations set to take place from July 12 to July 14. The sources stated, “Currently negotiations and talks are on” to finalise the dates for these artists to perform at the wedding.

About Radhika and Anant’s star-studded lavish wedding

The Ambani family is known for hosting extravagant events, and the pre-wedding celebrations for Anant, the youngest child of Nita and Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant were no exception. In March 2024, a grand three-day celebration was held in Jamnagar. It was later followed by another opulent pre-wedding bash on a cruise in Italy and the South of France from May 29 to June 1.

The cruise event featured performances by Katy Perry, Andrea Bocelli, Pitbull, Guru Randhawa, and the Backstreet Boys. Celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Janhvi Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt attended the event.

Mukesh Ambani, and his family kicked off the grand finale of the wedding celebrations on Tuesday with mass nuptials for 52 underprivileged couples.

During the first pre-wedding festivities in Jamnagar, artists such as Rihanna, Akon, Diljit Dosanjh, Lucky Ali, Arijit Singh, Pritam, and Shreya Ghoshal performed for the Ambani and Merchant families and their friends. The Ambanis are no strangers to lavish celebrations, having hosted India’s most expensive wedding to date for Isha Ambani in 2018, which reportedly cost $100 million and featured a performance by Beyoncé at the pre-wedding party in Udaipur, Rajasthan.

Anant and Radhika, both 29, will marry in a three-day Hindu ceremony in Mumbai starting July 12.

The wedding will span three days with three main events: ‘Shubh Vivaah’ on July 12, ‘Shubh Aashirwad’ on July 13, and ‘Mangal Utsav’ or the wedding reception on July 14.
