Alia Bhatt felt ‘weird’ speaking in English for her Hollywood debut Heart Of Stone

Alia Bhatt is truly one of the biggest Indian film actresses today. The artist has been proving her mettle with each and every project she has undertaken. Currently she is basking in the glory of the success of her recent outing Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. And in the midst of that, she is also set to foray in another industry and head to the west.

Alia Bhatt on Hollywood debut Heart Of Stone

Alia is going to be making her Hollywood debut soon with Heart Of Stone. The film will have a direct-to-digital release on Netflix and starts streaming from August 11, 2023. It also stars Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot and 50 Shades Of Gray actor Jamie Dornan. Alia features as the antagonist Keya Dhawan in the film.

Recently, in an interaction with Toronto Sun, Alia was asked about the biggest challenge she faced while foraying internationally. She had quite an interesting answer to that. Alia said, “I have to say on day one, because I’m so used to speaking in Hindi, suddenly on day one speaking in English was weird. Even though I speak in English most of the time, but acting in English suddenly felt a bit strange. But apart from that, day one… kind of awkwardness, I really really felt that it was the same. The process of a film set world over is exactly the same.”

Alia was recently seen in Karan Johar’s RRKPK with Ranveer Singh. The film became a success critically and commercially. It has collected over Rs 60 crores in just 5 days of release. Post this, she has the release of Heart Of Stone on August 11.

Apart from that, she has many projects in pipeline which aren’t yet officially announced. She is touted to be starring as Goddess Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana with husband Ranbir Kapoor. Then, she also allegedly reunites with Sanjay Leela Bhansali on Baiju Bawra. She reportedly enters the YRF spy universe as well with a female led spy film and also supposedly has a film with Vasan Bala.

She has one officially announced film, Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa with Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Katrina Kaif. However, there has been no development on the film for a while, and it is said to have been indefinitely pushed for now.
