Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are officially divorced, marking the end of their two-year marriage. A Los Angeles Superior Court judge approved their divorce settlement on January 6, and it officially took effect on February 21, following California’s mandatory six-month waiting period after Lopez filed for divorce in August 2024. The couple reportedly reached a settlement through mediation in September, avoiding a prolonged legal battle that often accompanies high-profile celebrity divorces.

As part of the divorce agreement, Lopez will drop “Affleck” from her legal name. While most financial details remain private, court documents confirm that neither party will pay spousal support. Since they have no children together, custody arrangements were not a factor in the proceedings.

Lopez and Affleck’s whirlwind romance captured global attention when they tied the knot in July 2022. However, their marriage was short-lived, with reports indicating they had been separated for more than a year before Lopez formally filed for divorce.
