The fairytale love story of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez is coming to an end and it’s likely to get ugly. As per reports, a divorce is inevitable for the couple who rekindled their romance in April 2021, got engaged in April 2022 and married in July 2022. As per a recent media report, the ‘Hypnotic’ actor is scared of removing his wedding ring and announcing their split as it can lead to a nasty divorce battle with Lopez.

Ben and JLo have been living apart since early May when the ‘Batman’ actor moved his stuff out of their shared $60 million Beverly Hills home they bought together a year ago. He has since been residing at a rented house in Brentwood. Read on to know the latest development.

A recent RadarOnline report stated that Ben Affleck – who is avoiding wife Jennifer Lopez like the plague, is still occasionally wearing his wedding band because he’s terrified she’ll destroy him in a divorce war. They quoted a source saying, “Ben never expected Jennifer to embrace his decision to leave. But he’s freaked by how hard it is for her to let go, and he’s living in fear of how far she’ll take it!”

The source added that JLo wearing her wedding ring during her recent outing in New York City is just another manipulation tactic to control Ben, The insider said, “She insisted they wear their rings, then she had a fit over him moving his stuff out. No wonder he’s a wreck!” The report noted sources say divorce papers are on the way for the couple.

The report also noted a tipster stating that Affleck is currently prioritizing time with the three kids he shares with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner. They said, “Ben can’t handle conflict right now, but she would rather argue than be ignored. Everyone knows you don’t mess with JLo and get away with it!”

Garner is fed up trying to help Ben

However, his spending quality time with the kids is taking a toll on his and Garner’s relationship. As per sources, Garner – who once spoke highly of Ben for maintaining a good relationship with their three kids, is fed up trying to help the ‘The Tender Bar’ actor sort out his marital problems with Lopez.

The 52-year-old – who was effectively serving as Affleck’s unofficial marriage counsellor, has decided to keep her distance now for the sake of her relationship with beau John Miller. An insider claimed, “Jen’s always been a problem solver but Ben’s problems with JLo are beginning to cause tensions with John, and that’s the last thing she wants.”

Slamming rumours that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s marital problems have anything to do with JLo’s superstar status, a source told People, “The idea that Ben thinks Jennifer is too famous and that he didn’t know what he was getting into with the attention on their marriage isn’t true.” The insider added, “There are deeper issues.”

Talking about their different lifestyles, a source told the publication in mid-May, “He is more introspective and private. She likes to open her heart to her fans and the world. This makes them considerably different, and it has been difficult in the day-to-day relationship. There have always been clashes in their styles, how they handle issues, and their actions, but nothing has stopped their love over the years.”
