Britney Spears’ father Jamie Spears was suspended as the role of his daughter’s guardian on Wednesday by a Los Angeles judge. This has put an end to a 13-year long battle by the popstar against her father. Jamie Spears will be replaced with an accountant, John Zabel, on a temporary basis.
As per a report by Reuters, “The current situation is not tenable. It reflects a toxic environment which requires the suspension of Jamie Spears, effective today,” Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny said to the court. The judge has also set a further date of November says the report; the hearing will be on whether the conservatorship should be terminated that controlled Britney’s life for 13 years.
Britney’s lawyer Mathew Rosengart had filed a petition to have the singer’s father removed from the position, “Every day that goes by with him as conservator — every day and every hour — is one in which he causes his daughter anguish and pain,” the plea stated. Wednesday’ hearing came the petition was filed.
