Action hero Bruce Willis is ‘stepping away’ from his acting career, after his medical diagnosis, his family announced on Wednesday. Emma Heming Willis, Bruce Willis’ wife, and Demi Moore took to their Instagram accounts and made the retirement announcement. The family released a statement, along with the picture featuring Bruce. They revealed the Hostage actor has been diagnosed with a medical condition. The family announced the retirement of Bruce Willis from acting and mentioned his Aphasia diagnosis, in a note.
Taking to Instagram, Emma Willis wrote, “To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities. As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.”
Bruce Willis’ wife said it is a ‘challenging time’ for the family and are moving through as a strong family unit. She added, “This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion and support. We are moving through this as a strong family unit, and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him.” She continued, “As Bruce always says, “Live it up” and together we plan to do just that.” She even sent love to all with Demi, and the kids.
