BTS members Jimin, Jin, Suga, RM, J-Hope, Jungkook and V spoke about taking some time off as a group to focus more on their solo careers during their Festa dinner on Tuesday. The Bangtan Boys were in tears by the end of the video as they revealed their future plans. Suga assured ARMYs that the group is not disbanding.

At one point, Suga said, “Anyways, we’ve now entered an off-season/off period,” but the English subtitles translated to, “We’re going into a hiatus now.” ARMYs around the world were emotional.

Now, BTS’ label has issued a clarification that the group is not taking a hiatus. They informed fans around the world that BTS members will be active as a group but will focus more on their solo projects.

 

As per AP, Big Hit Music shared a statement that read, “BTS are not taking a hiatus. Members will be focusing more on solo projects at this time.

In an official statement, Big Hit Music said, “BTS now starts a new chapter with new solo projects as well as group projects. Members will take this time to achieve personal growth through various new activities, and we expect it to further strengthen the foundation for the group’s long-run as a team. BIGHIT MUSIC will actively support the artists.

It further mentioned that the members will focus on producing more solo albums starting with J-Hope, who will be dropping Hope World 2 next month. This will be followed by Suga and Jungkook’s solo projects.

BTS recently released their anthology album ‘PROOF’ and released the music video for lead single ‘Yet To Come’.
