Looks like the BTS ARMY will be witnessing their worst nightmare if the latest buzz is anything to go by as BTS members Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook will in fact be taking a year and half long break to complete their mandatory military service.
BTS members were earlier rumoured or be taking hiatus from music and enlisting in the military. But reports had stated that the Korean National Assembly had gathered to discuss a revision of the Military Service Act which will in turn allow artists to replace military service with volunteer work but looks like that didn’t work out.
As per a report by TMZ, South Korea’s Ambassador to Great Britain said that the BTS members will in fact have to attend the service, “It is very much expected that young Korean men serve the country and those BTS members are role models for many young-generation Koreans. Most of our people expect that our members of BTS will fulfill their obligation as citizens of Korea. Eventually, I think that will happen.”Â

Kim Seok Jin has already passed his age of military enlistment age in South Korea and it looks like the band will soon be coming to decision about their military service.
